Founded in 1890, Post University is a student-focused, career-driven university committed to providing students with the knowledge, personal skills and experience required to be leaders in their chosen fields. Located in Waterbury, Conn., Post University provides a wide array of degree programs for on-campus and online students of all ages. It is known for its quality, career-driven academic programs, small classes, and competitive NCAA Division II athletics. Post University's online degree programs - master's degrees, bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees and certificate programs - offer the same accredited curricula as their on-campus equivalents.

Post University is accredited by The Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Post University is also licensed by the State of Connecticut through the Department of Higher Education (DHE).

The Commission is one of six organizations recognized by the US Department of Education and by the Council on Higher Education as being reliable authorities on the quality of institutions of higher education. This recognition provides for the transferability of credits by assuring standards of quality. The focus of accreditation through NEASC is quality assurance and quality improvement. Post University has been accredited by NEASC since 1972.
