California Baptist University in Riverside, CA, was founded in 1950 by the California Baptist Convention. With more than 4,100 students, the school offers roughly 90 undergraduate majors and concentrations and 25 graduate majors and concentrations. The U.S. News & World Report ranked the school among the best master’s colleges in the United States. The 105-acre main campus is home to more than 30 buildings, including the 270-seat Wallace Theater, one of the largest aquatic centers in the region, and the JoAnn Hawkins Music Building, one of the most advanced music production and recording facilities in the United States.

Teacher Education at California Baptist University

The School of Education at California Baptist University offers an undergraduate program in Early Childhood Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Intervention, which is designed to train students to work with both disabled and non-disabled children up to 8 years of age. In addition, the University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies for undergraduates and as a degree completion program. CBU’s education programs feature small class sizes and an emphasis on Christian studies. An online Master of Arts program is offered in Disability Studies, one of the only programs of its kind at a Christian University, as well as a Master of Science in Education and teaching credentials.
