Located in Phoenix, AZ, the American Indian College of the Assemblies of God was founded in 1957 as a Bible institute designed to prepare Native Americans for Christian service. The College serves students from about 25 tribes, as well as non-native students. AIC offers degree programs in Christian Ministry, Elementary Education, and Business Administration. Ministry opportunities include semester outreach programs throughout the Southwest and California, an annual trip to Mexico, summer ministries throughout the country, and local church opportunities. The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary also holds on-campus seminars for those enrolled in the Master in Christian Ministry program.

The American Indian College of the Assemblies of God offers a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. All students take courses in General Education, which constitute about one-third of the program of studies, and computer training. Courses are offered in the areas of Christian Education and Elementary Education – including Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology, Cultural Diversity in the Classroom, Foundations of Reading, Educating Exceptional Children, Foundations of ESL/Bilingual Education, Mathematics Methods, Science/Social Studies Methods, Assessing Student Performance, Classroom Management, Instructional Media, Reading/Decoding Methods, Reading Practicum, Language Arts Methods, and a 10-week student teaching experience.
