Alliant International University in California is an independent, not-for-profit institution that prepares students for careers in the applied social sciences. Alliant is composed of four schools: the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP); the Shirley M. Hufstedler School of Education (HSOE); the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management (MGSM); and the California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS). There are campuses in Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco, as well as three international campuses. Alliant is geared toward students who have Associate degrees, and wish to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. The university also offers Masters and Doctoral degree programs, as well as certificates. Admission applications are accepted on a year-round basis.
Teacher Education at Alliant International University
Alliant Center for Undergraduate Education is geared toward entering students with an Associate’s Degree. Such students can take advantage of the “2+1 Program,” where they can earn a Bachelor’s Degree in two years and a Master’s in one additional year. The Shirley M. Hufstedler School of Education prides itself on its holistic approach to education – offering four distinct programs: Teachers CHOICE Programs, which lets students choose the approach and timetable that works best; Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); Educational Leadership Programs; and School Psychology Programs. The Shirley M. Hufstedler School of Education offers Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degree programs.
