According to the Utah State Office of Education, the median compensation of the state's educators, including benefits, was $63,857 during the 2009-2010 school year. Like most states, Utah allows educators to obtain higher levels of licensing to earn potentially higher salaries. The initial educator license is a level one license, and upgrading to level three requires participating in the Entry Years Enhancements (EYE) program.
