Oregon State University

Oregon State was founded in 1868. It is located in Corvallis, a small town 90 miles south of Portland. It is the largest research institution in Oregon and the only one to have earned the Carnegie Foundation’s top designation. More than 22,000 students from around the nation and the world are enrolled in 200 undergraduate and 80 graduate degree programs. The College of Education offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in areas including early childhood/elementary education, secondary teacher education, counselor education, adult education, and more.

Oregon State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The graduate program in counseling is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
