Nova Southeastern University

Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida got its start in 1964 with the founding of Nova University, a small graduate school offering programs in the physical and social sciences. In 1994, Nova merged with Southeastern University of Health Sciences to become the school it is today. The university enrolls around 28,000 students making it the seventh largest not-for-profit, independent school in the nation. Besides its Fort Lauderdale campus, the university offers programs online and has locations in 23 states and nine countries around the world. The Fischler School of Education and Human Services offers a full range of degrees from associate to doctoral as well as teacher licensure and professional development courses.
