Northcentral University

Northcentral University was founded by Dr. Donald Hecht, a working professional who struggled to earn a master’s and a PhD while working and raising a family. Facing the difficulties of balancing school and work inspired Dr. Hecht to create a school tailored to the needs of working adults. He founded Northcentral, an online university, in 1996.

Key Features

• Northcentral’s School of Education offers four education programs, which allow students to focus in a wide range of degrees and concentrations, from K-12 to corporate and non-profit educational instruction.
• Within the Master of Education program, students can concentrate in anything from athletic administration to early childhood education.
• The PhD in educational leadership teaches students to address management and leadership issues within school districts.
• All of the programs at Northcentral were created using a unique "faculty mentor" approach with students receiving personalized attention from instructors.
