Graceland University
In 1985, Graceland College was established. The school quickly became a four year degree institution and by 2000 changed its name to Graceland University. Today, the university offers many opportunities for its students, including a 15 to 1 student teacher ratio and over 60 educational bachelor’s programs. Students who attend Graceland University can participate in a variety of varsity sports including baseball, cheer, football or track. Students can also enjoy the opportunity to take courses online in either nursing or educational studies. The Edmund J. Gleazer School of Education grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees in education.

- Undergraduate degrees are offered in elementary and secondary education.
- Students who are earning a master’s degree in education can take courses oline in differentieated instruction, quality schools, mild/moderate special education, collaborative learning and teaching and technology integration.
- Undergraduate programs can be completed at the Lamoni or Independence campus.
