Benedictine University

The Benedictine monks of St. Procopius Abbey founded Benedictine College in Chicago, Illinois in 1887. Over the years the school moved to Lisle, Illinois, became coeducational and went through a few name changes; finally settling on Benedictine University. With five different colleges, students can choose from over 40 different undergraduate major programs. The university also boasts a 13 to 1 student-teacher ratio. The college of education offers both graduate and undergraduate programs for students.
