Bellevue University

Located in Bellevue, NE, Bellevue University has more than 8,000 students enrolled in its campuses and centers around the world, and is the largest private university in Nebraska. The school is also an award-winner in distance learning and offers a number of accelerated degree completion programs. Students may enroll in any number of three-year bachelor’s degree programs that combine face-to-face and online learning, as well as experiential learning through internships and other career experiences. Founded in 1966, the University offers 15 master’s degree programs and one Ph.D. program. The required Kirkpatrick Signature Series also offers nine credit hours to all students, covering such topics as Western intellectual tradition and Judeo-Christian ethics.

Teacher Education at Bellevue University

The College of Professional Studies at Bellevue University offers a Bachelor of Science in Adult Education. When completed, the program will allow graduates to work in professional education settings, including vocational education, adult education, and training programs. The coursework and field experiences cover continuing education and training techniques; many components of the program are offered via distance learning and online. Bellevue also offers a 3+1 program in partnership with Buena Vista University in Iowa, leading to a bachelor’s degree in teacher certification in secondary education.
